Wisdom Matters is a Neuropsychiatry and Wellness Centre specializing in the treatment of addiction and mental health issues. We are a team of professionals working towards finding the best treatment options to help patients with Addiction, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Anxiety, OCD, and more.
We lead prevention programs for students and organizations. The aim of these programs is to address the problem when it is still budding.
Our qualified team of subject matter experts also run training programs for young professionals to help them develop the necessary skills for working with individuals and families in distress.
Meet The Team
Dr Chhaya Sualy
A Neuropsychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in the medical and the helping profession. She is a
certified member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) as well as the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS).
She graduated with honours from Mumbai as a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). She also has a
P. G. Diploma in Psychological Medicine (D. P. M.) and PG Diploma in Medico Legal Systems.
The founder-director of Wisdom Matters, Indrajit Deshmukh is one of the first CEB Teachers in India trained by Dr Alan B Wallace and Dr Eve Ekman (Santa Barbara Institute, California), a Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and a proponent of Buddhist Psychology and Ethics.
He is also the co-founder of Vajradhatu: Centre for Study and Practice of Indian Mind Traditions.
He spearheads many awareness programs and community empowerment programs. He is also a resource person for other NGO’s who work in the field of HIV – AIDS and Suicide Prevention. He has conducted numerous training programs for the Maharashtra Police and guest lectures for Bharthi Vidyapeeth, Symbiosis, Fergusson, MIT, Salaam Baalak Trust (Delhi), Snehadhara Foundation (Bangalore), Evolve (Ahemdabad), Lighthouse (Mumbai).
Dr Trupti Vedpathak
With vast knowledge and expertise in areas of Addiction, Mood, and Anxiety Disorders; she has over 15 years of experience in this field.
Post Graduation in Psychiatry from Grant Medical College, JJ Hospital Mumbai, and MRCPsych from England. She also holds a UK Medical Council (GMC) Registration.
Dr Shailesh Joshi
With a Doctorate in Biochemistry, he has teaching experience spanning 15 years in subjects ranging from
yogic meditation to research methodologies. He has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a diploma in medical
He has completed a Post-graduate diploma in Applied Mahayana Buddhist Ethics & Psychology from the prestigious Pune University.
Dr Joshi has also completed a basic course in Transactional Analysis (ICTA, Kochi) and is trained in Counselling with Mindfulness from Just Being, Pune.
Clinical Psychotherapist and Counsellor
M.A. Clinical Psychology, certified NLP practitioner, Cognitive Hypnotic Coach, Certified Arts Based Therapy Practitioner, Psychotherapist, and a Group Therapist with a knack for Psychometric Testing. She can guarantee top-of-the-line counseling and psychological services catered to your needs.
She strives to aid individuals struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, personality disorders, bipolar, burnout, alcohol addiction, drug addiction, behavioural addictions, schizophrenia, and dual-diagnosis to truly heal and recover.
Since 2016, she has provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences.
Advocates of Mental Health
With a Master's in clinical psychology from Fergusson college, Pune, Pranaya has been associated with us for over 5 years.
She holds a diploma certificate in Buddhist Psychology and Ethics from SPPU, and is also a certified Signature Analysit.
Pranaya is also a licensed Zumba instructor. She craftfully and effectively conducts Zumba sessions for the participants at the centre with a genuine intent of healing.

She has been associated with Wisdom Matters since the past 2 years and co-ordinates our events, training sessions and internships and educational programs.
Being a classical dancer herself, she is able to weave creativity and innovation into her group therapy interventions.
